I've loved stories for as long as I can remember.
When I was a kid, I dreamed of becoming a preacher…or an actor...or an artist. I wanted to tell stories that inspire.
I imagined I was Indiana Jones embarking on life’s adventures through mythic symbols.
In the footsteps of Joseph Campbell, I aspired to share the world's secrets; mysteries that reveal your purpose and make you feel alive.
Because myths give meaning to this human experience.
The most profound questions in life are answered in narratives.
Your stories influence your choices, your movements, your relationships...
Stories can hurt. Stories can heal.
But everybody has a story.
"R.R. Shakti speaks with such clarity that she simply dispels those nagging little consequences of stress in the modern world.
My trust in myself is absolute, my love for others is limitless. She turned my life in a new direction, and all in 45 minutes."
—Jonathan Catmur via Shakti Yogi Journal
"Colorful, magnetic, creative, passionate, dynamic...
With such grace and optimism, Shakti always seems to tap into the deeper current of Truth beyond the surface waves of what is apparent; she moves and breathes through even the most challenging of life's experiences with such grace, surrender, and openness.
Her teaching style is deeply engaging. Shakti's child-like innocence and bubbling curiosity brings an ever-evolving freshness and aliveness to everyone who is blessed to have her as a teacher and a friend. I am so blessed and so grateful to have her in my life as both."
— Dhyana Masla, Stanton Street Yoga, New York NY.
"I was reflecting on the journey this morning in practice, and I remembered when my world felt grey. I would read your poem- "Goddess." It woke me up to something I knew but had forgotten. I prayed for color. ...I received a vision cast for yoga & music... Google took me to yrp & that led to Erik & then to you. I'm living my life in full psychedelic color and you, Goddess, your poetry, vision, all of it, I'm so grateful for!!!"

"R.R. Shakti, has been, and is, an incredible inspiration.
She has helped me to grow and broadened my understanding of how we are all connected—not only to each other but also to our planet, our universe,
and the great divine that resides in all beings.
One of the coolest things I’ve learned from Shakti
is that everyone embodies all archetypes.
I’m also a sucker for a great story.
It’s hard not to fall in love with the soulful and heart-filled way in which Shakti shares the stories of the gods and goddesses"
